A continuing address under a different brand
The hotel’s current website identifies The Heritage Grand at the same Prachasumran Road address as the continuing Agoda listing. February 2026 reporting of the owner’s announcement gives 1 March as the changeover date. The Heritage Grand is the continuing hotel formerly known as Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid.
The official website presents renovated Premier rooms alongside regular categories. That distinction is important when looking at a bright new photograph or reading a complaint about older furniture. A rebrand can introduce new options without proving that every room was rebuilt at the same time.
Premier and regular rooms can have the same floor area
The official Deluxe Double and Twin rooms are 43 square metres. Their Premier equivalents retain that area, while being described as newly renovated and adding smart-room controls and updated technology. The upgrade therefore concerns finish and equipment as much as size.
Corner rooms are listed at 46 square metres, Junior Suites at 64 and Executive Suites at 84. The official descriptions identify separate living space for the Executive Suite, with a dining area; a Junior Suite instead has a sitting area. These are more useful distinctions than assuming all suites are arranged as a separate bedroom and lounge.
Bathrooms and living space support different kinds of stay
The current room descriptions include separate bathtub and shower arrangements across the categories detailed on the official site. That gives someone interested in a bath a specific feature to compare, while leaving the exact room’s accessibility to be confirmed. A separate shower is not by itself proof of a fully accessible bathroom.
For a short temple trip, the already generous Deluxe area may be enough. A traveller planning to rest at the hotel between outings, eat in a separate living space or work away from the bed has a clearer reason to consider an Executive Suite. Choosing Premier, meanwhile, addresses a wish for a renovated interior rather than automatically buying substantially more floor space.
Recent guests still notice the building’s age
An October 2026 Booking.com guest account displayed by Hotel.com.au enjoyed the stay but wished for further renovation. Other October accounts praised the staff, room, pool and hotel facilities. Those reports can coexist: a visitor can appreciate the service and still see older features.
These are individual accounts rather than a description of the hotel’s current work programme. No ongoing construction schedule or completion promise is established here. The practical response is to compare the named regular and Premier room offers, not to turn a guest’s wish for renovation into a claim that the whole hotel is currently a building site.
A city hotel with places to spend the evening
The official website identifies the Pavilion restaurant, Orchid Lobby Lounge and Kronen Brauhaus among the hotel’s dining settings. Those can make returning to the hotel a practical choice after an outing. Temporary offers and promotional prices are different from the room entitlement and are not repeated here as permanent inclusions.
Prachasumran Road is a central Khon Kaen base for a city stay. Wat Nong Wang is still its own journey towards Bueng Kaen Nakhon, and Phra That Kham Kaen requires a separate outward road trip. The hotel’s scale and location do not turn either shrine into an on-site attraction.
Who has a clear reason to choose it
The Heritage Grand is worth considering for substantial room space, a central urban setting and an explicit choice between regular and renovated Premier finishes. Someone mainly seeking a quiet, small guesthouse experience is choosing a different kind of property. The continuing address is reassuring for navigation, while the current category description is the better guide to the room than the old Pullman label.
