Trip.com identifies a bathtub in its Deluxe description, while its Superior descriptions emphasise a shower. That gives a bath-seeking guest a category to investigate rather than a reason to assume every room includes one. Supplier bed labels are not wholly consistent, so the current offer should settle the actual arrangement.
Large rooms do not remove the condition question
A May 2026 Deluxe guest on Trip.com liked the large clean room, comfortable bed, parking and staff. Another May 2026 visitor in a Superior Twin found the room insufficiently clean and wanted renovation, while still liking staff and location. The room category and individual stay matter when interpreting that contrast.
A May 2025 Superior Double guest similarly saw ageing finishes but reported a strong hot shower. That earlier positive bathroom account is useful context, not proof that every current room is in the same condition. The evidence supports a hotel with mixed room impressions rather than a uniformly new finish.
A pool and gym should not be treated as guaranteed highlights
The May 2026 Deluxe account described a decent-sized pool and basic gym. A February 2026 Superior Double visitor had a different experience, reporting poor pool cleaning and only the treadmill working among the gym equipment. Both are individual observations with a clear practical implication for someone booking to exercise.
No present equipment inventory or repair completion is established here. A traveller whose routine depends on specific machines should confirm the current gym condition directly. The room’s size may remain attractive even when the leisure facilities are not the deciding factor.
Work needs and ordinary comfort are different tests
An August 2025 Superior Double guest reported that in-room Wi-Fi did not work and was directed to the lobby. A January 2025 guest also needed a room change after an air-conditioning problem. These accounts do not establish an ongoing failure in all rooms, but they are more useful to a working traveller than the mere presence of Wi-Fi in an amenity list.
Other guests liked the setting for a short stop. A November 2025 Deluxe visitor found meals convenient and staff welcoming. For someone using the room mainly to sleep between outings, those practical positives may carry more weight than the possibility of working at the hotel for long periods.
Plan from Chuan Chuen Road, not from a generic city label
The continuing address is 78/9 Chuan Chuen Road. Wat Nong Wang belongs to a separate visit around Bueng Kaen Nakhon, while Phra That Kham Kaen requires an outward road trip. The hotel can support a car-based itinerary without being described as a shrine-side property.
Mantra Varee is worth considering when the actual room area and parking match the trip and the guest is comfortable with an older hotel’s mixed maintenance record. It is a less straightforward choice when a fully equipped gym, consistently immaculate pool or dependable in-room work connection is essential. Those priorities need more than a broad positive overall rating.
