The Pannarai Hotel

Review The Pannarai’s central Udon address, room-size differences between official and OTA descriptions, pool setting and recent guests’ practical comfort reports.

The Pannarai Hotel is a central Udon Thani choice with a pool and a clearly differentiated official room range. The room sizes advertised by the hotel and Agoda do not match neatly, so the category label alone is not enough when space is the deciding factor. Guests tend to value the service and city access while giving more mixed accounts of older fittings, pillows and shower performance.

01

Compare the actual offer, not the category name alone

The hotel’s official site gives Superior rooms as 32 square metres, Deluxe rooms as 32–34 square metres and Premier rooms around 34 square metres. Its Junior Suite is 64 square metres and has a king bed. The larger suite is a substantially different space from the ordinary categories.

Agoda’s current Superior and Deluxe Double and Twin entries instead show 28 square metres. The available information does not explain the difference, so neither figure should be silently substituted for the other. If floor area is important, confirm which category and configuration the chosen offer actually provides.

The official descriptions also distinguish Premier outlooks towards the pool or garden. A pool photograph in a general property gallery does not establish that the particular Superior or Deluxe room you book overlooks it. Twin and king configurations remain a separate choice from the view and the area.

02

The address supports an urban evening

The hotel is on Sampanthamit Road in the shopping area of Udon Thani. Its official description places it among the city’s shopping, food and transport services. A July 2026 Superior Twin guest likewise liked the surrounding station, mall and restaurant access.

That is a useful arrangement if the car can remain parked for part of a city evening. It should not be turned into a fixed walking time for every guest or every destination. The same central location says little about how convenient the separate journey to Wat Pa Phu Kon will be without a vehicle arrangement.

03

A spacious room can still have older finishes

A September 2026 Deluxe Double guest described the room as spacious and clean while noticing worn furniture. Another account published that month found the rooms somewhat tired but still comfortable. These reports support an established-hotel expectation rather than a promise of newly fitted interiors.

The September guest particularly disliked the two flat pillows and unclear television reception. Those details are personal observations, but they help someone decide which ordinary comforts matter most. A large room and good staff do not automatically compensate for every guest’s preferred bedding or entertainment setup.

04

Service and breakfast are stronger parts of the accounts

The September Deluxe Double visitor praised service across the entrance, lobby and restaurant, and found the included breakfast varied and sufficient. An August 2026 Superior Twin guest also liked the reception and luggage assistance and described a comfortable, clean stay.

These accounts describe room packages and experiences at the time. The meal’s inclusion should still be checked in the chosen offer. The useful point is that several separate parts of the service experience received praise, rather than a claim that every future stay will have the same staff or menu.

05

Shower comfort and sound need individual attention

The September 2026 guest found shower pressure low but usable. A July 2026 Superior Twin visitor also found shower water cooler than expected. Those two accounts make shower performance worth considering, without establishing an ongoing property-wide defect.

The July guest liked the double-glazed windows and perceived the room as quiet. That is a room-specific experience in a central city setting. Someone choosing Pannarai primarily for guaranteed silence should distinguish that account from an assurance about every position in the building.

06

Use the hotel for the city portion of the journey

Pannarai fits a traveller who wants central Udon access, a pool between outings and the option of a larger suite when space has a clear purpose. The unresolved official-versus-OTA room-size difference is the main reason to look closely at the booked category.

Wat Pa Phu Kon remains a road excursion to Na Yung district. Arrange a vehicle that includes the return, and work backwards from the temple’s hall hours when deciding when to leave. A practical urban hotel and a remote temple can belong to the same trip without being described as neighbours.
