The pool is a separate facility decision
Traveloka’s property instructions say the pool is 200 metres from the building and shared with Newsiya Hotel. That is materially different from stepping out of a guest-room lift to a pool in the same building. It is a published location statement, not a measured walking time or a guarantee of the present access route.
An individual guest account published on Agoda in May 2026 described the advertised pool as being at an adjoining hotel under reconstruction and said it was not a usable on-site facility for that stay. Another account published in October 2026 described using a clean pool. The differing reports do not establish that access is permanently unavailable or explain exactly what changed.
If swimming is a deciding feature, obtain a current answer about the shared facility, its opening and the actual route. The direct-booking description advertises a pool without resolving those details. The stronger evidence supports caution about location and availability, rather than either a blanket promise or a claim that the hotel has no pool at all.
Room names are not consistent enough to compare by label alone
Agoda’s inventory includes a Deluxe Twin described at 52 square metres and a Junior Suite Double at 35 square metres. Its Grand Deluxe Double label carries a smaller stated area of 24 square metres. Those figures illustrate why the grander-sounding name should not automatically be read as more space.
The hotel’s direct-booking page instead presents Executive Deluxe Twin and Grand Deluxe Double offers. Recent Agoda guests also use Executive Deluxe Twin. The available descriptions do not establish a clean match between every older label and each current offer, so confirm the actual room rather than transferring an area from a differently named category.
Recent guests remember the staff and ordinary comfort
An October 2026 Executive Deluxe Twin guest liked the clean room, peaceful stay and prompt check-in and check-out. A September visitor in the same named category praised the facilities and service. Those are useful recent accounts about a city overnight.
A May 2025 Grand Deluxe Double guest described a spacious room, parking and a varied breakfast. An April 2025 Executive Deluxe Twin guest liked the bathtub, sofa and bedding while recognising the established building. These observations concern the categories actually used; they do not certify identical furnishings throughout the hotel.
Breakfast is a stronger recurring positive than a pool assumption
The May and April 2025 guests both valued the breakfast choice. An account published in May 2026 also found the breakfast and surrounding shopping and dining convenient. The direct-booking page presents breakfast-included offers, but inclusion remains part of the specific rate selected.
A guest account published in October 2026 praised the staff and bed while mentioning intermittent sounds from an air vent. The guest speculated about their cause, which has not been independently established. It is a room-specific sleep observation, not a diagnosis of a property-wide problem.
The urban base still needs a Na Dun journey
The address is 1227/68 Somthawinrat Road in Talat, Mueang Maha Sarakham. It is a city base for ordinary services and an evening after an outing. Phra That Na Dun requires a separate district road plan and return transport.
Taksila is worth comparing for its service accounts and room choices when the actual category is clear. Give the shared-pool qualification real weight if that amenity matters more than the city location or breakfast.
