PC Palace Hotel review: Grand Building room labels, 20-square-metre Superior offers and dated cleaning, plumbing and room-allocation concerns.

PC Palace Hotel in Sakon Nakhon carries room offers that distinguish the Grand Building. That building label matters: an older guest reported confusion between PC Palace and PC Grand Palace, while other dated accounts raise practical questions about cleaning and plumbing. The room and building deserve more attention than the Palace name alone.

01

The older reviews contain material room concerns

An October 2024 Superior guest described dust and cleaning problems, a dripping shower, a leaking sink and a window that did not lock. That guest liked the air-conditioning and found breakfast the stronger part of the stay. These are serious room-specific complaints and should not be hidden behind a general value label.

A December 2024 Superior guest also described an older room, a bathroom smell and a hard bed. A June 2024 visitor was more satisfied with value, while a May visitor said they would book again. The limited favourable comments do not answer the particular maintenance concerns raised by the longer accounts.

02

Start with the building as well as the room

Agoda lists a Superior at 20 square metres, with a choice described as a king bed or two semi-double beds. It also carries a Superior Twin Room explicitly labelled Grand Building, again at 20 square metres. Those labels are useful because an older guest account reported confusion between PC Palace and PC Grand Palace.

The available room list includes a VIP Room in the Grand Building. Its name alone does not establish a measured size or a particular bathroom arrangement, so it is not treated as a guaranteed upgrade in this review. The room, building and bed configuration are the details that should match the accommodation being chosen.

03

Do not turn an old complaint into a current guarantee

The detailed guest material used here largely concerns 2024 stays, with an earlier May 2022 account about the building-name confusion. That timing limits what can be concluded about the room a new guest will receive. It supports a cautious description of the accommodation, not a claim that every fault remains or has been fixed.

For someone who depends on a properly locking window or is sensitive to plumbing noise, those specific concerns carry more weight than the general room category. The older reports are a reason to seek a clearly identified room and building rather than assume that a different supplier's Superior photograph settles the condition question.

04

A city stay with a separately planned temple visit

The current property address is in Sakon Nakhon city. Trip.com's PC Palace listing also describes a city base with parking, meeting facilities and accommodation associated with the Choeng Chum area. The listing gives conflicting room and building totals, so neither figure offers a dependable picture of the property’s scale.

A stay can support a visit to Wat Phra That Choeng Chum, but there is no verified included temple transfer in the evidence used. The hotel is not presented as accommodation within the religious precinct, and wider Isan journeys still need their own transport plan.

05

A choice for travellers willing to resolve the particulars

PC Palace may enter a comparison of straightforward Sakon Nakhon accommodation, especially where the offered bed arrangement and Grand Building description suit a group. The 20-square-metre room sizes keep expectations closer to an ordinary overnight stay than a spacious resort suite.

The dated maintenance accounts and the building-name distinction make it a less simple choice for someone who wants a strongly documented recent room experience. Its value depends on the actual room offered, rather than on the word Palace or an assumption that the older source name guarantees a different level of accommodation.
