HOP INN Udonthani

Compare the original HOP INN Udonthani with its newer city-centre namesake, using official room details and contrasting guest noise reports.

HOP INN Udonthani is the branch at 30/2 Moo 7, Soi Ban Nonpiboon. It should not be confused with the separate HOP INN Udonthani City Center opened in 2026 on Phosri Road. This original branch offers a straightforward Double-or-Twin room decision, with guests giving contrasting accounts of noise and the ease of getting around.

01

Identify the branch before comparing reviews

The chain’s official address places this hotel on the Ban Nonpiboon approach off Piboon Road. The newer City Center property has a different address and listing. A review saying that everything is newly opened in 2026 may belong to that other hotel.

This matters more than a small spelling difference between Udon Thani and Udonthani. The building, immediate surroundings and guest accounts need to match the actual branch.

02

A simple room range with limited extra space

The official branch page describes Standard Double and Standard Twin rooms at 19.59 square metres, while Agoda rounds the categories to 20 square metres. The bed arrangement is the main difference: one double versus two singles.

The official description includes air-conditioning, a balcony, work desk, refrigerator and private bathroom with hot water. That is a compact overnight-room specification rather than a suite or resort-style layout. For two people with luggage, the limited floor area should remain part of the comparison even when the bed itself receives praise.

A May 2026 Standard Twin guest found the room clean, comfortable and sufficient for a one-night stay. That is a useful account of the intended kind of use, not evidence that the room offers extensive indoor leisure space.

03

Quiet stays and disturbed stays both appear

The May 2026 guest described a quiet, relaxing overnight experience. A July 2026 Standard Double guest instead reported dogs barking at night and sound from a neighbouring room. Neither account establishes a universal condition for every room or night.

The specific noise report deserves more weight for someone highly sensitive to sound than a general brand expectation. It does not support an invented claim that a particular floor or side is always quieter. The available evidence does not identify a tested quiet-room allocation.

An October 2025 Trip.com visitor also mentioned sound from a neighbouring house. Together with the later dog-barking account, that gives external sound more substance than a complaint about interior insulation alone.

04

The location works differently with a vehicle

The chain presents the branch as a city-travel and onward-journey stop near Udon’s public park and other urban places. One published guest account liked the quiet but found transport inconvenient. A convenient location for a driver is not necessarily the same experience as relying entirely on walking or ad hoc rides.

Consider the actual address against the evening places you want to reach. The hotel is not the newer branch beside the central shopping-and-station area. That distinction can matter more to a stay than small differences in room decoration.

05

A chain timetable, rather than an early-room promise

The official HOP INN Thailand guidance gives check-in from 14:00 and checkout until 12:00. A January 2026 Trip.com guest was disappointed about waiting after arriving shortly after 13:00. That experience does not show that an earlier room was part of the booked entitlement.

If arriving before the stated check-in time, arrange the intervening part of the day separately. A short overnight booking before onward travel can still be useful, but it should not depend on an assumed early room or on another branch’s facilities.

06

A basic city stop before a separate temple excursion

This HOP INN suits someone wanting a recognisable compact-room format and a clear Double-or-Twin choice. The main trade-offs are the actual branch location and the differing sound reports. It is less appropriate to select it because a similarly named new property has attractive photographs.

For Wat Pa Phu Kon, the city hotel is only the overnight base. The journey into Na Yung and its return must be arranged explicitly. A standard room can serve a wider Isan itinerary well without being described as close to the remote hall.
