Debua Mahasarakham review: King and Triple room choices, repeated no-lift reports and sharply different recent experiences of cooling, bathrooms and cleaning.

Debua Mahasarakham offers King and Triple room choices in a Maha Sarakham city neighbourhood, but the recent practical reports deserve priority over the photographs. Guests have repeatedly described stairs rather than a lift, and accounts from 2026 vary substantially on cooling, bathroom drainage and cleaning. This is a property to consider with particular room needs in view, rather than an unqualified recommendation for everyone.

01

Take the stairs reports seriously

A May 2026 Deluxe King guest reported no lift and found a fourth-floor room tiring to reach. A separate Trip.com account published in August 2026 also said there was no elevator. An older January 2024 visitor described carrying bags up to the fourth floor.

The repeated reports make stair access a central decision for older travellers, guests with restricted mobility and anyone carrying heavy luggage. A generic lift label elsewhere should not outweigh those specific accounts without a current explanation of the actual route to the allocated room. No complete step-free access has been verified.

02

The King and Triple categories need different expectations

Agoda lists Deluxe King and Superior King categories with one king bed. Its Triple description specifies a queen bed and a king bed, which Trip.com also gives for Triple. The listing therefore describes two shared beds rather than three separate adult beds.

A current family-labelled entry also refers to a shared bathroom. That wording must be distinguished from the King and Triple descriptions; it should not be assumed that every room shares facilities, or that every family offer has the private bathroom shown in another category’s photograph.

No reliable floor-area comparison is available for these offers. The useful starting point is the sleeping arrangement and bathroom specification, not an invented size advantage for the word Deluxe.

03

Cooling reports differ even within the King category

A July 2026 Deluxe King guest described a clean, nicely decorated room with effective air-conditioning. A May King guest likewise liked the bed and cool room, while mentioning the stairs. These accounts show that comfortable stays have occurred.

In March 2026, another King-room guest reported noisy, ineffective cooling and said they had encountered air-conditioning problems on two visits. The meaningful contrast is with the July experience, rather than a claim that every King room is either cool or hot.

04

Bathroom and furniture condition are the more serious cautions

An August 2026 Triple guest found the room spacious but reported slow cooling, blocked drainage, water spreading across the bathroom floor and an odour, along with a deteriorated sofa. A May King guest separately described bathroom staining, weak sound insulation and an older room despite a comfortable bed.

These are substantial room-specific complaints. They do not prove the same defect in every category, but they make recent bathroom condition more important than simply choosing the room with the most beds. Someone booking for three adults should give particular attention to the Triple account rather than relying solely on a favourable King review.

05

The city location is a practical point, not a temple shortcut

The address is 20 Soi Si Sawat Damnoen 23 in Talat. A Trip.com guest published in March 2025 liked the large room and parking but thought check-in could improve. That provides ordinary city-stay context alongside the more recent maintenance reports.

For Phra That Na Dun, arrange the separate outward and return road journey. Debua’s case is a particular room configuration in Maha Sarakham city, with stairs and inconsistent comfort kept clearly in view. It is a poor match for someone who needs predictable lift access or wants to avoid the reported bathroom and cooling risks.
