Ban Kiangnam Hotel

Compare Ban Kiangnam’s 20, 24 and 30-square-metre rooms in Khong Chiam, with explicit limits around its much older guest evidence.

Ban Kiangnam is a Khong Chiam town property with small double rooms and larger twin options. Its current listing provides a useful comparison of room size and bedding. The readable guest accounts are much older, however, so this review treats their service and condition observations as history rather than proof of how the hotel operates today.

01

The twin categories buy measurable extra room

Agoda lists a Standard Double Bed room at 20 square metres, a Superior Twin at 24 square metres and a Deluxe Twin at 30 square metres. All three named entries have a garden outlook. The extra space in the Deluxe Twin is a genuine reason to compare it with the smaller double, especially when separate beds are required.

The outlook label does not establish a balcony, private garden or direct river view. Those features should not be borrowed from the hotel’s name or the surrounding riverside town. The current listing’s clearer distinctions are the bed arrangement and floor area.

02

Older guests disagree on upkeep

An Agoda Standard Double guest in May 2016 found the room small and thought the walls needed paint, but strongly appreciated the owner’s warm treatment. A Tripadvisor visitor who stayed in December 2017 liked the garden setting and friendliness after changing from a budget room to a bungalow, yet criticised room and bathroom cleanliness.

These dated accounts support a picture of simple accommodation with personal service, but they cannot establish present cleanliness or staff. They also concern different rooms. A bungalow upgrade in one old report is not proof that the current Deluxe Twin listing reproduces that same accommodation.

03

Location and arrival are separate questions

The current Agoda and Tripadvisor listings agree on 89 Moo 1, Kaewpradit Road in Khong Chiam. That is distinct from an Ubon city address, even when a regional booking page groups the property under Ubon Ratchathani.

A July 2017 Agoda guest reported arriving during a busy festival period and finding the prepaid room unavailable. It is a serious individual historical complaint, not proof of a recurring current overbooking practice. It does underline why that old visit should not be reduced to a score or silently treated as a recent stay.

04

A limited-evidence option for a Khong Chiam itinerary

Ban Kiangnam’s room range can suit someone comparing a compact double with more spacious twin accommodation in town. For Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Phrao, plan a separate road excursion and return transport; neither the hotel name nor its provincial grouping makes the temple a walk from the room.

The room-size comparison is the strongest current detail available. Travellers who need a well-established recent pattern of condition and service may prefer an alternative with newer readable guest evidence, rather than use the older praise or complaints as a present guarantee.
