The city address matters
The hotel’s own website places it on Palochai Road in Mueang Ubon Ratchathani. It describes a contemporary vintage approach with natural materials and locally made rugs, bed runners and cushions. That is the property’s design description, rather than a guarantee that every room contains identical craft pieces.
Wat Phra That Nong Bua is a separate urban outing from this address. Wat Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Phrao is a much farther road excursion in Sirindhorn district. Choosing the Ubon hotel gives access to city services; it does not put the luminous-tree temple outside the door.
A balcony is a specific category choice
The official room list gives Superior King and Twin and Deluxe King and Twin rooms as 25 square metres. Agoda’s corresponding regular-room descriptions use 24 square metres. That small listing difference should not overshadow the clearer distinction: the official Grand Deluxe King and Twin categories measure 28 square metres including their balconies.
Because the balcony is included in that figure, a Grand Deluxe is not necessarily three extra square metres of indoor bedroom. Choose it for the stated outdoor space and bed configuration, rather than assuming a large step up in interior floor area.
The suite has a different purpose
Both the official King Suite and Agoda’s Suite King Room Non-Smoking are described at 48 square metres. The official description includes a work desk and sofa. That makes the suite a more meaningful space upgrade for someone spending part of the day indoors than the smaller difference between regular categories.
A December 2025 suite guest liked the room’s sensor lighting, functional design and staff assistance. That guest also reported included minibar snacks and provided nightwear in that room. Those are useful examples of one suite stay, not benefits established for every Superior booking or every future rate.
Breakfast and service are positives with a clear source
The same suite guest enjoyed a buffet alongside an ordered main dish and described a substantial choice of local and Western food. A May 2025 Superior Double guest separately liked the breakfast selection and attentive staff. Breakfast inclusion still belongs to the selected offer; the favourable reports do not make it automatically free in every booking.
An August 2026 Booking.com account displayed through Agoda described a comfortable, good-sized and quiet room. A September 2026 account praised staff and a complimentary upgrade. The upgrade was an individual service experience, not an entitlement to a higher category.
Stairs and the surrounding city are worth considering
A December 2024 suite visitor reported stairs without a lift in the accommodation building. Booking.com also lists upper floors reached by stairs. Anyone who cannot readily manage steps should establish the exact room location and route before choosing, rather than infer step-free access from the hotel’s renovated appearance.
The December 2025 guest heard aircraft and found the main sightseeing locations inconvenient without a car, although a convenience store was accessible nearby. That report does not prove a current flight schedule or a noise problem in every room. It does suggest a useful distinction: a characterful city hotel can still require transport to the places that matter to the trip. Tohsang is most persuasive when its room design and service appeal and the itinerary already includes that transport.
